SCHNEIDER-STROMES. Harold and Ellen Schneider of North Brunswick announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy, of Brooklyn, N.Y., to David Stromes of Brooklyn, N.Y. David is the son of Lorraine and Michael Stromes of Somers, N.Y. The bride-to-be graduated from Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass., with a BA in English literature, and from Columbia Teachers College in N.Y., N.Y., with an MA in English education. She is employed by Mark Twain Intermediate School as an eighth grade English teacher. Her fiance graduated from Brandeis University with a BA in Philosophy and currently attends Brooklyn Law School. Grandparents of the groom-to-be are Ernest and Molly Gitnik of Queens, N.Y. The couple plans to marry on Aug. 17, 2008, in New Rochelle, N.Y.
Bar/Bat Mitzvahs
BORSACK. Shirley and Sheldon Reich of Monroe are proud to announce the bat mitzvah of their granddaughter, Erica Paige Borsack. She is the daughter of Charlene and Scott and sister to David Benjamin. She will celebrate at the Princeton Jewish Center in June and in Israel in July. Erica is an honor student and plays the flute in the band at West Windsor Grover Middle School. She plays soccer and basketball at the Junior Maccabi Games, makes beaded jewelry, and volunteers for Princeton Special Sports and Homefront.

HORN. Jeremy and Esther (nee Clum) Horn of New York City announce the birth of their son, Benjamin Hutton Horn, on March 30, 2007, at Mount Sinai Hospital, NYC. The baby's Hebrew name is Binyamin Hirsch in memory of his paternal great-grandfather, Barney Ginsburg, and his great-grandfathers Herman Horn and Barry Blum. Grandparents are Dr. Marcia Horn of Highland Park and Dr. Larry and Florence Blum of Fairfield, C.T. Great-grandmother is Sadie Blum of Fairfield, C.T.
