Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Bornstein lived in Lakewood before moving to Manchester 17 years ago. He spent his entire life in the poultry business, inheriting his family’s poultry farm in Howell, and later owning and operating Busy Bee Farms in Lakewood. He was active at Leisure Village West, involved in the Tennis Club and their recycling program. He was also an avid traveler. His wife of 35 years, Elaine, died in 1984. Mr. Bornstein is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lenore; son, Arthur of Edison; daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Kevin Dahm Kevin of Pitman and Fern and Andrew Shegoski of Somerset; and his grandchildren, Renee Elyse Shegoski and Evan Michael Shegoski. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Beatrice lived in Queens for 34 years, Lauderdale Lakes, Fla., for 33 years, and Manalapan for the last three years. Her loving husband of 52 years, Louis, died in 1992. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Richard Smith. Mrs. Buchalter is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Sherry of Marlboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Julia Smith of Tallahassee, Fla., Lorraine and Ronnie Gousman of Westlake Village, Calif., and Esther and Danny Levitan of Annandale, Va.; grandchildren, Jesse, Felly, Matt, Seth, Erica, Gary, and Adam; and great-grandsons, Ryan and Liam. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, David; by a younger sister and brother, Laura and Sidney. At the time of her death, she was an employee of the New Jersey Medical School in Newark. A member of Hadassah since 1964, she was a past president of the Newark Chapter, and held many important offices in the Roselle-Cranford Chapter. She was the first member of Hadassah in New Jersey to become a member of the golden Wreath Society of Major Donors, and also became a member of the Henrietta Szold Endowment, the Legacy Society, and the Young Judaea Society of Major Donors. In 1985, she was named a founding member of the Young Leaders Department and as a member of Hadassah’s National Endowment Task Force. Co-author with her husband of the novel, "Thea," and editor of the 1998 anthology, "We Remember: May 15, 1948," she was also an avid doll and fine art collector. The funeral service was held at Menorah Chapels, Millburn, with interment at Beth David Cemetery in Kenilworth. Donations can be made to the Susan K. Born in Newark, Mr. Lowenstein lived in East Brunswick for 40 years before moving to Neptune six years ago. He was a scrap metal broker with Norman Lowenstein Inc. in Elizabeth for 40 years before starting his own business, JFL Industries in Neptune 14 years ago. He was a Korean War Army veteran. He was a member of East Brunswick Jewish Center in East Brunswick, and was an avid racquetball and tennis player. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His brother, Norman, died in 2003. Mr. Lowenstein is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Francine; his daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Ronald Bazer of Ocean; his son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Nancy Lichtenstein of Roseland; his two sisters and a brother-in-law, Julia Zimmerman of Tinton Falls and Shirley and Seymour Lubetkin of Florida; his sister-in -law, Roberta Lowenstein of Aspen, Colo.; and his grandchildren, Halee, Allyson, Matthew and Jacob Bazer and Miranda and Felicia Lichtenstein. Born in New York City, Mr. Nash lived in Newark before moving to Livingston 54 years ago. He was the owner of SiegerNash Liquors, Orange Street, Newark, for many years. He was state sales manager for Mogen David Wine and a sales representative for the Fedway Corp. Newark Wholesale Liquor Distributors, retiring in 1986. He proudly served our country as a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps, as a B-29 gunner in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans Post 740 of Livingston, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of Livingston Old Guard, the Men at Leisure of the Jewish Community Center of Whippany, Temple Beth Shalom in Livingston and a former president of the Roseville Lions Club, Newark. He was a master mason and a member of the Azure Lodge 22 F&AM in Cranford and a 32nd degree mason with the Valley of Northern New Jersey Chapter. He was also a member of the Dapper Dans of Harmony, a barber shop chorus in Livingston, and sang with the group when they were national champions. Mr. Nash is survived by his loving wife of 61 great years, Dorothy; devoted children, Robert and his wife, Joann; and dear grandchildren, Meredith and Jeremy. Born in Poland, Mrs. Schorr came to the United States in 1926 and lived in Union and Delray Beach, Fla., before moving to North Brunswick five years ago. She was a secretary for Barnett Bank in Delray Beach, Fla., before retiring in 1990. Her husband, Julius J. Schorr, died in 1999. She was also predeceased by her brother, Sidney Heller, and sister, Marion Kurtz. Mrs. Schorr is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Vicki and Daniel Schorr-Coben of East Brunswick, and Gail Pizarro of Madison, Wis.; and grandchildren, Neva Sherman, Gram Pizarro and Richard Schorr-Coben. Born in Newark, Mr. Schwartz lived in Hillside and West Palm Beach, Fla., before returning to West Orange four years ago. He was a wholesale rack jobber with Arlen Hosiery Company, Hillside, retiring in 1965. He was a volunteer at the JCC, West Orange, and entertained residents of several local nursing homes, made audio tapes for the blind, and served as treasurer for the New Jersey Club of Century Village, West Palm Beach, Fla. He also sang and played many instruments for the Merry Minstrels in Florida. In his senior years, he became an avid painter. Mr. Schwartz was the beloved husband of the late Ida; devoted father of Arlene Dubrovsky and the late Leonard E. Schwartz; cherished grandfather of six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A graduate of Baruch College, Manhattan, Len held many professional positions, retiring as a controller at Methfessel and Werbel, Edison, where he had worked for the past six years. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Seltzer is survived by his wife of 27 years, Olga Lobur Seltzer; sons and daughters-in-law, Mitchell and Judy of California, Daniel of Hawaii and Michael of East Windsor; daughters, Jennifer of Queens and Abbie of Virginia; brothers, Robert of Maryland and Jacob and his wife, Linda, of Florida; and a granddaughter, Sydney. Born and raised in Newark, Mr. Weiss lived in Freeport, Bahamas, from 1970 to 1979 before moving to Florida. He graduated from Seton Hall University as an accounting major. He was the chief financial officer of Intercontinental Realty in Freeport and treasurer of the Grand Bahamas Development Company. He was the founder and treasurer of the Luis de Torres Synagogue in Freeport and also coached the Freeport Little League. Mr. Weiss is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Peter of Florida City, Fla., and Jay and Karen of Bay Harbor Island, Fla.; his sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Woody Sonnabend of Livingston; niece, Jennifer, and her husband, Matt Kelber; and grand-nieces, Kara and Tori Kelber. Born in Russia, Mrs. Zimring lived in Newark and West Orange before moving to Arizona in 1978. While living in New Jersey, she was a member of Hadassah, ORT and Congregation B’nai Shalom of West Orange. She was the wife of the late Abraham and is survived by her loving sons, Dr. Philip and Dr. Michael Zimring. Interment at Beth Israel Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
