How would you describe your business?

"We are a full-service tree company," said president Rich Lewandowski.

"When we come out to do an estimate we also give a free tree inspection to identify tree problems that may be caused by decay, insect infestation, or branches growing too close to roofs and overhead wires. Some of the services we provide are tree removal, stump grinding, and pruning. We also provide emergency service in case of storm damage. Whatever job we do, we always clean up."

What makes your business special?

"Our staff is what makes our business so special. Our friendly office staff is consistently communicating with our customers from the time the estimate is requested through job completion. When the job is completed, our experienced crew walks the customers through the property to make sure they are completely satisfied with the work performed."

What goals do you have for the business?

"Our goals are to continually grow the business and grow on our success."

How has your business changed?

"In a highly competitive market with quickly rising business costs, we are constantly training our employees and looking for the most efficient ways to do business to stay ahead of our competition."

What was your most important deal?

"Every customer is an important deal, but one of our biggest was for the New Jersey Department of Education at the Marie Katzenbach School for the Deaf. This job included removal of selective trees and pruning of trees on campus."

What changes do you expect in your business in the next 10 years?

We are working on adding a Plant Health Care (PHC) program to our list of services offered. The purpose of PHC program is to maintain or improve appearance, vitality, and safety of trees, using environmentally sensitive practices and preventive treatments."

What is the most important thing you've learned in your business?

"The most important thing I've learned is to provide great service at reasonable prices."

What advice would you give to someone considering your line of work?

"Talk to everyone, listen to what they and others have to say, and constantly change."

Is there anything else you would rather be doing?

"If I hit the Mega Million Lottery, I would still be doing the same thing!"
