BIALER. Mrs. Sherry G. Bialer (nee Smith) died Dec. 6, 2009 at St. Peter's Medical Center, New Brunswick. She was 75.

Born in Brooklyn, Mrs. Bialer lived in Queens and Linden before moving to Monroe 20 years ago. Until her retirement in 1998 she taught for nearly 30 years at Elizabeth High School, and in a number of Hebrew schools and special education programs. She was also active at the Concordia Jewish Center.

Mrs. Bialer is survived by her beloved husband, Irwin; loving children, Robin Kane of Morristown, Arthur Bialer of Short Hills, and Deborah Bialer of Millburn; devoted brother, Howard Smith of Kingston, N.Y.; and seven cherished grandchildren. Interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.

BROWN. Mrs. Miriam (nee Barnet) Brown died Dec. 12, 2009 at Overlook Hospital. She was 90.

Born in Elizabeth to Isadore and Anna Barnet, Miriam lived there for many years before moving to Springfield and then Westfield. She was a member of Temple Emanu-El in Westfield, the Friendship Club, Hadassah, and B'nai B'rith. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Harold, and her brother, Ben Barnet.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Claude Zahn of Livingston; granddaughter, Alanna Zahn Davis and her husband, Dr. Damien Davis, of New York City; great-grandson, Harrison Davis; sisters, Sarah Nelson of Clark and Roslyn Greenberg and her husband, Shelly, of Delray Beach Fla.; and sister-in-law, Hermine Barnet of South Orange. Interment at the J.E.C. Cemetery, Elizabeth. Arrangements by Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton. Memorial donations may be made to Overlook Hospital or Temple Emanu-El.

DROUTMAN. Mr. Stuart Robert Droutman died Dec. 14, 2009. He was 68.

Born in Bayonne, Mr. Droutman moved to Manalapan in 1990. He owned and operated Embassy Motors in Bayonne until moving to Manalapan in 1990, where he and a partner started Accurate Auto Body in Freehold. He was infantry sergeant in N.J. National Guard during the Newark Riots. He was a member of Peninsula Lodge #99 F. & A.M. and Jewish War Veterans Post #125. He was predeceased by his parents, Morris and Bertha (nee Penchansky).

Mr. Droutman is survived by his loving wife, Randi (nee Teres), and his cherished sons, Mike and Brett. He loved his family deeply. Arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels Manalapan.

MARASH. Mr. Stanley Albert Marash died Dec. 17, 2009. He was 70.

Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Marash lived in Edison for 42 years. He was a member of Congregation Neve Shalom, Metuchen, and the Sephardic Jewish Brotherhood, and a Fellow of the American Society of Quality. He was CEO of STAT-A-MATRIX, a company that he founded in Edison, retiring after 41 years of service. He was also a renowned lecturer and author who spoke in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Mr. Marash is survived by his wife, Muriel (nee Sutchin); son, Alan of New York; daughter, Judith of Edison; sister, Malorie Bratt of New York; brother, Robert of New Jersey; and grandchildren, Talia and Sammy. Interment at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. Arrangements by The Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Inc., Edison. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or to the Parkinson's Disease Organization.

REIDER. Mr. Arnold Reider died peacefully Dec. 17, 2009, after a valiant 10-year long battle with cancer, in Monroe, N.C. He was 80.

Mr. Reider was a 1946 graduate of Carteret High School, and attended their 50th reunion. He was also a 1950 graduate of Rutgers College, with a B.A. degree in accounting and finance. After serving in the Korean War as head finance officer at Fort Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska, Mr. Reider married Shirley Kimmel of Roselle in 1954; they celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2004. He was the head of finance/accounting for the J.B. Williams Company of Clark, (manufacturer of Aqua Velva), wallet manufacturer Baronet Corporation of Secaucus, and Verrazano Bridge builder Harris Steel of Piscataway, before entering private practice in public accounting. He served as treasurer of the Woodbridge Township Jaycees and Chamber of Commerce, and Temple Ohev-Shalom of Colonia, and the Colonia Little League. He was head coach of the Colonia Little Leage Travelling All-Stars, the 1971 Central New Jersey state champions.

Mr. Reider is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Scott and Matti, and Mitch, all of Charlotte, N.C. Interment at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Woodbridge. Arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.

SAGER. Mrs. Shirley Sager died Dec. 21, 2009 in Delray Memorial Hospital, Delray Beach, Fla. She was 90.

Born in Staten Island, Mrs. Sager lived there until moving to Monroe in 1991. She also maintained a residence in Delray Beach. Prior to retiring in 1984 she was a kindergarten teacher in Staten Island. She was a member of the Jewish Congregation of Clearbrook, Monroe. She was also a member of the Clearbrook chapters of B'nai B'rith, ORT America, and Deborah, Monroe. She was a past president of Pythian Sisters, Staten Island. She received her B.A. from Hunter College, New York City, and her M.S. in education from Wagner College, Staten Island. Her husband of 68 years, Aaron, died in May, 2009. She was also predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Heiferman.

Mrs. Sager is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and diane of Brookeville, Md.; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Daniel Magalnick of Topsfield, Mass.; sister, Tilda Landovitz of Riverdale, N.Y.; grandchildren, Debra Krivelow and her husband, Joseph, Lisa Jacknow and her husband, Bret, Robert Sager and Paul Sager and his wife, Kelley; and great-grandchildren, Mari Claire Krivelow, Hannah Brooke Krivelow, Gabriel Prager Jacknow, and Cooper Zachary Jacknow. Interment at Baron Hirsch Cemetery, Staten Island. Arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.

SIEGEL. Mr. Marvin Siegel died Dec. 17, 2009 at home. He was 74.

Born in Newark, Marvin was the son of the late Joseph and Belle Siegel. He lived in Union before moving to Basking Ridge 20 years ago, and was the property manager for Garden Homes in Short Hills for the past 18 years. He was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War.

Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rhoda (nee Gritz); sons and daughters-ini-law, Craig and Leslie of Hillsborough, and Drew and Mary of Bedminster; and grandchildren, Joshua, Jared, Samantha and Jacob. Interment at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton. Arrangements by Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton. STAMELMAN. Honorable Laurence C. Stamelman died Dec. 16, 2009, at home with his family. He was 85.

After graduating Long Branch High School in 1943, Hon. Stamelman served for three years in the military before attending Rutgers University. After graduating Rutgers in 1949, he went to Cornell Law School, where he received his law degree in 1952. Most of his law practice was in partnership with Milton Stein on Broadway in Long Branch. In 1980, he was appointed as a judge to the Superior Court of New Jersey in Monmouth County, where he heard cases in all areas of the courthouse -- from civil to criminal to chancery. He served as chair of the Monmouth County Bar Association Ethics Committee and of Monmouth Legal Services; trustee of Monmouth County Legal Aid Society; and president of the Monmouth County Bar Association. He also served the community as trustee and president of Temple Beth Miriam, Elberon, and was active locally and as District #3 President of B'nai B'rith. He was an avid sports fan and led a very active life, including regular fitness routines, running in local races and playing golf and bridge. Most of all, Laurence Stamelman was a great family man, and enjoyed 54 years of marriage with his loving wife, Louise. They spent many wonderful winters in Sarasota, Fla.

Stamelman is survived by his wife, Louise (nee Finegold) of Freehold; daughter and son-in-law, Abby Stamelman Hocky and Eric Hocky of the Philadelphia area; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Robin of Randolph; and grandchildren, Glen and David Hocky, and Jessica, Daniel, Jessie and Melanie Stamelman. Arrangements by Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Ocean. Memorial donations may be made to Temple Beth Miriam.

ZELLER. Mr. Melvin Zeller died Dec. 11, 2009. He was 79.

Born in Newark, Mr. Zeller lived in Springfield most of his life before moving to Watchung in 1981. He was a certified public accountant who received his B.S. degree from New York Unversity. He owned the firm of Zeller, Weiss and Kahn, PC of Mountainside before retiring. He was a member of AICPA, a lifelong member of Temple Beth Ahm of Springfield, and a member of Salaam Temple AAOMNS of Livingston.

Mr. Zeller is survived by his wife, Irma (nee Kessleman); sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence and Stacy, Richard and Deborah, and Jeffrey and Diane; grandchildren, Corey and Kay, Drew, Zachary, Hallie, Adam, Arlyn, Trevor, Brandon, Kylie, Risa, Austin, and Dana; and great-grandson, Xavier. He also had three caregivers, Melvina, Violet, and Veronica.

Interment at Beth David Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
