Congregation B'nai Tikvah, North Brunswick, warmly welcomes its new Kadima and USY advisor
Jordana Andersen. Jordana, a Franklin Park resident, has been the Beth-Ohr Temple Kadima advisor for the past six
years and the USY advisor for three years. As a teen, Jordana was a member of the Somset Chapter and very active in
chapter and regional events. A meet and greet was held for her on Wednesday, June 13.
On Monday, June 18, Charles "Shai" Goldstein was announced as
the executive director of the New Jersey Immigration Policy Network. 
Congregation B'nai Tikvah, North Brunswick, will install its
2007-2008 board members and honor the outgoing board members with a dinner on Friday, June 29. The new Board for
2007-2008 includes president Ruth Ann Koenick; VP of administration Gary Bergman; VP of School & Youth Mark Jiorle;
VP of Ways and Means Larry Cohen; VP of Activities Jeff Schwartz; VP of Membership Allison Nagelberg; financial
secretary Mark Kasdin; treasurer Marc Dillman; assistant treasurer Jeff Berger; secretary Bobbi Binder; and past
president Daniel Greenberg. Named as Trustees are Mark Sherman, David Spivak, Stuart Allen, Renee Juro, Arthur
Biderman, Ruth Shindler, Cindy Gittleman, Gary Warner, Paul Zankel, and Beth Shurman. Club representatives are:
Men's Club, Ed Birch; sisterhood, Linda Gottesman; and Fifty Plus Group, Aaron Rosloff.
The Jewish Center of Northwest Jersey, Washington, announces its new president, James Arvesen (at left). He is
taking over for longtime president Howard Hirsch (at right).

Cooper of Livingston were honored June 13 with the International Citizenship and Civic Award by the B'nai B'rith
Lodge for their joint role in five missions to Cuba, as well as similar missions to Argentina and Uruguay. The Coopers
have been deeply involved in the B'nai B'rith Cuban Jewish relief program, Argentine-Uruguay relief and other
South American projects. They have also met with United Nations ambassadors on matters of concern to Jews
worldwide.
