RUBIN.
Mr. and Mrs. Cy Rubin of Highland Park celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on August 29, 2008 aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line in Bermuda with their family.
Rubin and the former Esther Laufer were married Aug. 29, 1948 at the Highland Park Conservative Temple.
Rubin, who was a professional musician for many years in his early career, is the owner of a commercial real estate brokerage and development company which he still operates with his son, Steve Rubin. He is a past president of Temple Shari Shalom, known as B'nai Diva, in North Brunswick.
Mrs. Rubin was very active as a fund raiser and President of the Sisterhood at Moriah Yeshiva, now known as RPRY in Edison. They are members of the Highland Park Conservative Temple and life members of Hadassah.
They are the proud parents of Larry and his wife Teri of East Windsor, Dr. Lanny and his wife Elsa of South Brunswick, Roxanne and her husband Jay of East Brunswick and Steve and his wife Sharon of Somerset. They also have 10 wonderful grandchildren.
