Jamie Prioli of NJ Protection and Advocacy, Inc. will demonstrate and discuss the wide variety of assistive technology devices available to help make seniors’ lives easier. Come see voice-activated light controls, "shake awake" alarm clocks, adapted knob handles for stove dials, and more. This is a magnificent, epic story of an Ethiopian boy who is airlifted from a Sudanese refugee camp to Israel in 1984 during Operation Moses. Shlomo is plagued by two big secrets: He is neither a Jew nor an orphan, just an African boy who survived and wants, somehow, to fulfill his Ethiopian mother’s parting request that he "go, live, and become." Temple Beth Ahm. Hebrew for beginners class. This course requires no prior knowledge of Hebrew. You will develop basic communicative skills in modern Hebrew. Before you know it, you will be able to read and begin expressing yourself in Hebrew. Religious services will have new meaning when you can read and understand the prayers you recite. Torah will start to have new meaning as you recognize Hebrew words and phrases. Whether you never studied Hebrew, or you forgot what you learned when you were younger, come join us and bring your friends.
