Name: Stacey Rockman

Occupation: Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva Early Childhood director

Family: Married for eight years to Cantor Bruce Rockman, Cantor of B'nai Tikvah, North Brunswick. Two children: daughter Bashe, 5; and son Rafi, 4. Community activities: Very active with Congregation B'nai Tikvah, mostly helping out with cooking at the temple, working with the Sisterhood.

Hobbies: "I love to entertain; I even have a sign saying 'Good Food and Entertainment.' I love to horseback ride and like to sing."

Self-portrait: "I'm friendly, outgoing, approachable, and people like to with talk to me. I am also very organized. I always have a lot on my plate so I need to be organized. I'm also very interested in Jewish matters. It's by design that I do what I do. It's always been a labor of love."

Motto: "I've been credited with saying this often to the children: 'You get what you get and you don't get upset.' Someone had a T-shirt made for me with this motto."

Greatest accomplishment: "Having my own children being happy, healthy children. That's one thing I'm very proud of -- more than my career, but they are a work in progress because they are so young."

Bad habit: "I'm a total TV addict."

Favorite TV show: "Criminal Minds." "It's been on for the last four seasons."

Favorite food: "Sushi. I was convinced to try it by friends when I lived in N.Y.C."

Best childhood memory: "Sitting around the holiday table. My parents always had a ton of people over and there was a lot of laughter and too much food. That stayed with me and now we have many people around the table during the holiday."

People don't know that I... "Like camping, but my husband doesn't."

Last book I read: "I like to read mysteries and particularly the work of Faye Kellerman and her husband Jonathan."

The biggest asset in the local Jewish communities: "The passion and involvement of the people in the communities."

The biggest problem in the Jewish communities: "The lack of unity at times when we are all trying to reach the same goals."

If I had more time... "I would play more, hang out with my kids and husband, and have more fun."
